Ghongi – A water snails found in paddy fields which are cleaned, boiled, and then cooked using various spices. Ghongi is one of the most popular dish among the Tharu community of Nepal. Tharu community is mostly from the southern foothills and inner Terai of Nepal and they have their own taste and dishes. The dishes of these community are also as popular as other communities which can be enjoyed in different places of Nepal.
